How Would You Run Filtration Please Help.

Please help,
Tried on a previous post about a minimax reactor and didn't get an answer.

Now I'm curious-
What would you run on an IM drop off 20 gallon.

I have the reactor, not sure what to run in it. Also comes with a filter sock.

I need your help, what would you to get optimal filtration?

I run only carbon in one.
I don't use gfo or bio pellets.

What else do you run in the tank to control phosphates and nitrates? I was thinking maybe a purigen in the filter sock?

No but I'm assuming it would be safe to plan ahead before the problem comes. Only reason why is I'm using Marco Rocks. I've heard they leach.

I only run carbon if I run anything. I used GFO once upon a time, but fell back to carbon only.

Not always, they're pretty clean. I use them, but i do acid wash them prior in vinegar.

Dont start adding these binders unless you need them.

In that small tank, a great mantinance routine, water changes, and proper bio load should be sufficient.

If its not, then you may look into and research the proper media.

Don't want to strip your water.

What's a good go-to Carbon brand? I see Aquamaxx is pretty popular on marine depot. Also I apologize for all the dot posts, the lag got me. Possible to delete those??

I ran this reactor in a nuvo 40, i have it in my 60 now just for carbon.
Good little reactor.

I personally like BRS rox.
Doesn't take much.

I am running a aqua ax fr-s with a couple of modifications for the pellets. Works well

Yes, but not much larger. even so I am running 1/8 of the normal dose.
