Mine isnt bad but keeps my reefing budget reigned in. expect at frag swaps. I just hope if I die she doesnt sell it for what I told her I spent. Otherwise she is supportive so long as I have corals that move when the current flows.

Yeah my concern is if I die... What will he do with my tank... He doesn't understand why we can't use copper pipes and/or metal clamps and he certainly doesn't care what kind of water goes in the tank

Mine sees it as an impedance to her getting a house and out of credit card debt - but she has to admit she likes the "fishies" when she's at the kitchen table studying. It's all a big waste of money to her until she finds she likes something or makes a new fish friend

I have to give her credit though, while I was gone for a biz trip last week she asked if I needed anything done - so she topped off the ATO, cleaned the skimmer cup (that used up all the Love You points I'd earned) and checked my alkalinity a couple times.

She resents the amount of time I spend tinkering with the tank, or talking about it. Then I catch her watching the tank all the time. Last visit to the LFS for fish we ended up buying only fish she wanted. Hmmm

My wife has become more supportive the longer I'm in it. She's dosed peroxide, feed the fish, and even turned the lights down. This hobby has become the other woman though

Mine used to hate the amount of money that went into it but now she's ok with it. Especially now that we have an 8mos old that loves to stare at it and it will calm her down.

Mine complains about time spent and money but most of my fish are 10-15 years old so she would never make me get rid of it she doesn't want anyone to kill our fish

I make it understood in no uncertain terms that my tank is my passion. Being critical of my choice of hobby is a deal breaker, there is no compromise. Unfortunately some marriages end, relationships change, my enthusiasm for the hobby has never wavered. My spouse enjoys seeing the tank and loves the fish and that is as close to the tank as I let him get lol.

My wife does nearly all the day to day maintenance, feeds them, doesn't mind how much money we spend on them but we do the water tests together.

When I first got into it a few years ago, she was all into it. She went to the lfs and picked most of the fish. Now I go to the lfs by myself she doesn't know the cost that way. She likes fish but doesn't understand why my tank has to be full of coral. She thinks corals are pointless and I can just buy fake to have the same look. She wants a predator tank with puffers and lionfish with fake coral.

My wife is slowly growing into it. Set her up a 20 long fowlr with a Choco chip sea star, red banded goby and lawnmower blenny. She actually txt me today with pics of her newly added goby out and about and was excited to see him. Slowly coming around. Then again I just told her I was getting a new tank and showed up with a 110 gallon so you can see the confusion when had a 29 cube. Lol

My wife is very involved and loves being apart of it. Her favorite thing to do is spot feed the corals. She's done water changes for me and always ask me questions about helping out, she's learning lots *teary eyed*
