Has anyone heard of this ato? I'm looking to stay under 100 for an ato for my 14g but options are very limited. Any suggestions?

never saw that one before but I am running the reefbreeders one which is around the same price point. Reefbreeders is almost exactly the same as the smart ato for less $$

I got mine from ato.com I think it was $65 and use it on a 180. Very happy with it.

The double with 1" bracket and a fountain tech 160. A bunch of people use them.
I'll check it out. I really shouldnt cut corners lol I've had a failed sensor. Luckily the fail was that it thought the tank was too full so it never kicked on.

What is more reliable. Float sensors or optical sensors?

They're both pretty reliable if quality units. The tunze 3155 uses both the ato.com uses dual floats. I think redundancy is the most important. Honestly ato's are a weak point. You just need to keep a close eye on them

Stop being and don’t be cheap. You pay for what you get. These coral and fish cost to much. Go to marine depot and look at the auto aqua smart ato micro. It’s a 135.00 but worth it. It’s very simple to setup and reliable. I have been using one since they came out.

I'm not trying to be cheap. I'm trying to be budget conscious. I've had good luck with the tunze so I'm going to try another one.

My tunze finally crapped out on me after 8yrs. The controller wouldn’t stop sounding alarm. So, I bought me another tunze. Expensive, but it’s one of the best ato I’ve ever used.

I just bit the bullet and bought the tunze ato

I have a Tunze 3155 and a 3152. Both work great.
The 3152 is only about $20 more. I haven’t had any issues since getting it dialed in properly. Definitely worth the extra few bucks. Good luck!
