Just picked up a rock while cleaning and this monster was in there. Only have a few snails and a jawfish in this tank. Any idea what it is? Is it dangerous.

Lol I thought I uploaded. Sorry!

Yes. Hard to avoid. Nothing to worry about. Some people get bothered by the number and make traps to remove them. I’ve done that in the past but have since stopped caring about them.

Thanks for the Info. It’s the only one I’ve seen. Haven’t added anything in months. I’ll probably throw him back into the tank. He’s still pretty cool!

I 2nd a Bristle worm. Could have came on the rock, I have a few of them in my tank as well. Have you ever looked at your tank a little after lights off with a flash light?

Apparently a bristleworm that’s harmless.

Not a bristled worm and definitely not harmless, to me that’s a fire worm. Common bristled worms have a blue vain on its body.
Probably worth mention not to touch it to as you will get stung bad.

Looking at the pictures with comparisons i am not the best at saying what one it is. Maybe some one at #reefsquad may have better knowledge on this.
