Here is the equivalent in the newer A3 model which is not discontinued.

They have a newer model which is very similar to that one. They probably don’t have a reason to make two similar products. Plus that one comes with a salinity probe $$

Not a true equivalent, as it's $40 more expensive, and is missing a $200 salinity probe.

Geez I didn’t realize a salinity probe cost that much. It doesn’t work well enough to warrant that price.
It’s still the equivalent in the sense that it’s their highest end model.

I know what you are saying :-)... I am just being grumpy... I opened the box last week to find Salinity missing... they didn't even change the mold, it's the same mold with an empty spot.

$240 price difference... That's a 28% increase.
Actually I just added up the things that are new to replace the salinity probe and you get the functionality of a FMM ($105), a lls ($60) and a leak sensor ($40). So actually cost wise it’s didn’t increase that much.

Ahhhh….didn’t even notice the model, just saw discontinued…old eyes ! ;)

People really care the salinity probe is missing? The probe that constantly has issues and wasn’t in stock for like 2 years?

The new sensors and added FMM are 100x better than a salinity probe. If your salinity is changing enough to warrant a probe to monitor it, you got bigger issues on your hands

Never had an issue with my salinity probe on my other system, not sure what folks do to their to make it not work.

For those of us that have a ffm already, meh... I mean let's be real, the modules are overpriced for the most part.

Now the salinity probe cost increase, that's a crock.

Agreed. I just bought my first Apex… A3 pro and considering what others have said about the salinity probe and the new liquid level sensor… I like the new set up better. Glad I didn’t buy the older model.

All of it is overpriced IMHO. I’m just glad that I got mine when it was $600 for the full model because I wouldn’t be willing to pay the $900 that it costs now.

How much did the salinity probe used to cost? I don’t remember but I wasn’t thinking it was even close to $200. For that cost there is no chance I will replace mine when it eventually fails.

Back when I bought the PM2 and salinity probe, early 2019.
