Made it to North Carolina with my fish and anemones. Everyone is still alive. Going out for lights and water now. Hope everyone still there stays safe.

There was absolutely no traffic on the back roads when we evacuated. Plenty of gas along the way.

We in Citrus are being hit at cat1ATM. All in all it isn't so bad. Though were in the eyes path so tornados are less likely. For that reason alone I feel safe enough for a nap

The power being out is my biggest concern as the power company called and said that it won't be back on for at least a week. Bummer.... hope my tanks can hold out.

I hope everyone else is doing good.

Having lived through 2 hurricanes in Texas I will always stay. Back 10 years ago when everyone was leaving Houston, I was laughing at them watching them on TV. The problem was that Katrina had hit New Orleans just before and it scared everyone so when this one was supposed to hit everyone evacuated. I heard more people died on the road than were killed by the wind and rain. I just board up the windows that we are sleeping in and ride it out. I didn't do that the last hurricane and the acorns kept getting blow into the windows while I was trying to sleep and were LOUD! Thought for sure the windows would break many times but held.

Very happy to hear it wasn't near as bad as the news made it out to be...which is normal.

It really depends on where you live. It was really bad for some areas. We got very lucky where the eye went over us but it could have been terrible. We stayed home no need to leave and I have hurricane shutters. All is fine except the power issue.

All good here in Riverview (burb of Tampa). We had a couple of power flickers and a ton of high winds and rain, but that was all. Feeling very blessed

Yeah after Ike we didn't have power for 3 weeks. My little 4000 watt generator got a work out! Houston in August with no A/C is NOT FUN!!!! We didn't even lose power for Harvey just got really wet.
