Hydor smart level ato reviews?

Its wierd to depend up on temp for ato. Fortunately got a credit for it and bought eheim pumps.
The temp maintained on the sensor is kind of hot. No way will my tanks temp match that without cooking everything. Mine works great. The aqua lifter sucked. I switched it out for a peristaltic pump.

Yes, u need a very low lph pump, but jus got frustrated and gave it back, had a gallon of fw dumped in the tank

Hydors biggest problem with this ato, is no pump supplied. You needed something more like 2lph.
When i first bought mine, i got the aqua lifter. I was so mad. The aqua lifter would just drip water in. It was never fast enough. I hated Hydor for a couple weeks before my new peristaltic pump arrived.
I am confident the ehiem will work just fine.

Yes, they should provide the pump like tunze and many other brands. It becomes difficult to select.

I have had my smartlevel for a couple of years now and it works great. I thought it was a pretty good buy for the money. I use an aqua lifter pump with it.
I feel the same about mine. About a year and a half. No issues, only desire is they use a stronger magnet for mounting it, as I've bumped it off a few times doing maintenance in my sump.
