Hydrored's Planet 210

Bought a Alkatronic and Dosetronic to replace the trident. Hopefully will be here some time this week
Might be time for both of us to look into treatment for this. You go first while I sort out a better way to manage a 300G frag rebuild.

Any chance you could get a measurement on the spacing between the holes on the brackets that attach to your maple hanger? Trying to figure out how they would mount on a 2020 or 3030 profile, and there is nothing online with dimensions.

Lights came on this morning to a milky white tank, massive snail spawning event going on right now. I’ve had these many times before but never like this and they are still going, acros are all slimed up eating I suppose-

Alkatronic and Dosetronic arrived, I was frustrated with the Dosetronic as I was following the instructions but then I went online and found this little snippet-

Establish software connection with gen 2.5 or later
Serial number D2101xxxx or later are always gen 2.5 or later
If this is your first Focustronic product and have no account yet, start with step I-II(users with existing accounts can start from point 1):
I. Download the Focustronic All in One app from Google Play or App Store.
II. Open the app, and create an account.
Now proceed with the following steps:
1. Power on the Dosetronic
2. If you have Android now turn off 4G/
mobile data on the phone.
3. Open wifi settings on your phone/tablet and wait for wifi
to find Dosetronic
4. Dosetronic will show up in ”other networks” with its serial
number ”Dxxxxxxxx”
5. Connect to Dosetronic ́s WIFI (Dxxxxxxxx) and use the
password: dtpassword.
6. If you have Android it may ask you if
you want to stay connected despite no
internet access. Press Yes in that case.
7. Open the App, log in.
8. Now its asking you to connect to your home router
9. Enter your router's SSID and Password
(DT will use the 2.4GHZ channel. For
SSID name use no symbols).
10. Your Dosetronic is now connected to your router, and
therefore also now online.
11. If Dosetronic is not online, check in the router settings if it is
blocked by a firewall.
12. In the app now choose Dosetronic, and you can start to calibrate pumps, make
schedules, link an Alkatronic etc, according to instructions in this manual.

Uses a different app that the alkatronic to setup…. Anyways all set now

Tank is doing great man!!! Loving everything so far!

I surely need to update mine it’s been a while. Not getting rid of the apex all together right? Just the trident?

Over all I would NOT recommend the Alkatronic or the Dosetronic to anybody.

Waiting for Coralvue to respond for a return. My unit was sent with a bad Ph probe that I had to replace to even use the unit as after the first test it failed every time.

The unit is the loudest item on the tank by far and haven’t even tried the Dosetronic yet with all of its connection issues.

Well this 210 will be coming to an end sometime towards the end of the year. Tank will be replaced with another.

Thank you! I was telling my wife time to find Bertha a new home and she said why not just get a bigger tank? I about fell over.

I wish I could go 30 tall but just too hard to do anything in it.

You’d just need your mask, and perhaps snorkel to work 30” tall tank.

Im even concerned going from a 21 tall to even a 25 tall, 21 is nice for maintenance but also has some draw backs as it relates to flow. The under current is very strong in a shallow tank and has the tendency to pull all the polyps to the pumps
