If you are moving something from a wifi outlet you aready have setup as an output all you have to do is go in the setup of that output and change the output device to the XP8 outlet you want to use.

I deleted the XP8 and collective. Started over, it’s up and running as a collective, without a hiccup this time. Thanks for all your help. Now onto the XP8 plugs.
You caught me before I posted it but I powered down my router and the only LED that changed was the one labeled WIFI. It started breathing red. I also powered down just the modem and the same LED was breathing a yellow color. Normally that LED is a constant green. The LED's in each side are for the outlet states.

Under collective it only shows the x4 as the main, is this correct? It doesn’t show the xp8. Under the left hand side menu it shows both the xp8 and collective.

Outlets on XP8, can they be set as constant on? If I need to switch them off, say for coral feeding, is it possible? Here’s my equipment… I have 2 mp10s and a return pump that runs off Mobius without a problem, I’d like to keep it that way and use the outlet as power only. Same thing with Royal exclusiv skimmer, it has it’s own controller, the heater when in use also has its own controller, IM Helio.

Wi-Fi led is constant green.

I must’ve skipped a step somewhere…I’m now getting notices from the XP8 that the probes aren’t working or ATO.

The XP8 has no inputs. Can you post a screenshot of the output setup that you are getting the alert for.

Yes they can be setup as constant on, but if you want to power them down for things such as a leak then you will have to use either generic or you can use return type since that is on unless there is a leak or a mode turning it off.

First pic is collective, XP8 doesn’t show up there. If I go to left top side of menu and select XP8 it shows up as pic 2. Pic 3 is ongoing messages.

I can just override the output by switching it off correct? I’m impressed, the highest wattage is the return at 20w. The 2 Ecotech battery back ups, the XP8 and the Kessil 500x are plugged into a surge protector bar, everything else plugged into the XP8. Correct way of running this?

If you only have the two controllers and they are both in the collective there should not be any controllers listed there. I have nine controllers in a collective and this is the screenshots. So if it shows up there it is not in the collective. Did you go throught the steps to add it to the collective?

What you choose to power with the XP8 is up to you. I have my two heaters, skimmer, return pump, cooling fans and Refugium lights powered from my XP8.

So the XP8 isn’t added in the collective? I don’t see it under collective. Can I go back and add it or do I have to start from the beginning?

Here are some screenshot to add a controller to the collective. I can only go so far since I do not have a controller in my account that is not already in my collective. Select the left menu like in the first screenshot and select DEVICES from the menu. You should get a screenshot like the second one but it will only have the one controller listed instead of several like mine. Click on the blue spot with the + sign in the lower right corner. Then you should have the screenshot like the third one. Select the Hydros Device you want to add. You should only have the XP8 unless you have other controllers in your accout that are not a part of a collective. The wifi master priority you can leave as normal unless you want the device your adding to have priority as the wifi master. All devices except the first one have to be added this way. Unfortunately it will erase all the setups you made to it as a stand alone controller when you add it to the collective.

The XP8 is not a part of the collective. When you start a collective only the controller you are logged into at the time is added to the collective. You have to manually add the others one at a time.

I had to delete and input again, it worked this time and is now a collective. Thank you for all the help. Six resets later…it worked!
