How many days has it been in this treatment with the kanaplex/furan 2 combo? If it hasn't been ten days yet, and it's not getting worse, then I'd say finish out the 10 days. If it's still not improving at all, then we can look at a different medication. You can also add metroplex to the two you are currently using to widen the spectrum a bit more.

Oh, I didn't realize the Kana/Furan was intended for the CCB. I haven't started that yet, I have been doing the Parazipro for the Blue Tang with the small spots.

I plan to begin the Kana/Furan as soon as I can get enough medication.

I want to know what you guys think about buying the medications in bulk, I found different sources/sites that sale them however they are not typical name brands.

These products have a shelf life, so buying in bulk might be a waste.

We have a lot of fish and go through a lot of medication. Also I'll be purchasing a lot more fish and might run two 40 gallon QT at the same time. Where is the best place to get medications that's larger than the single 5g little boxes on Amazon?

I looked back. At this point with the butterfly, if he's still progressing in a positive direction then I'd keep doing what you've been doing for him. @Humblefish might have better advice since i have no experience with this "mystery disease"

Nitrofurazone. However, I would also add Kanaplex + Metroplex to the mix, and treat the CBB with that combo for at least 10 days.

Right, I'm just trying to make my purchase list, want to get about 100g of each. They can be used for our discus also some of them.

I will do that next week as soon as the medications arrive.

So how the heck do I know how much I have to buy if I can't figure out how much a package will treat? Anyone know how many scoops are in the Kanaplex 5g pack?
