Im pretty Sure that was meant as a compliment !!!Not sure exactly how to take that.I’m pretty sure I shouldn’t have posted this thread!

Those Trachy look awesome!
Yep.... he will. I was told after I bought him that he will grow very quickly which I hate. But I have a friend that will take him when he reaches about 7”.Great tank! Only thing I would mention is that rabbitfish has the potential to grow to 10" or more and will need a larger home at some point. No idea how fast they grow though.

Its not that your tank cant measure up to others. Its what you like and what you want it to look like. Most of the photos of these "amazing" tanks are taken with DSLRs and then shifted into light room to edit which makes it look like you are standing in front of the tank.
Thanks! I’ve never been a fan until recently. When we had our mega-reef we didn’t have any. But I keep seeing some pretty amazing specimens and I can’t help myself. Right now I have my eye on a very large iridescent green and pink one at the LFS. They want $225 for it. I think it’s worth every dime but I don’t have th money right now. When I do, I’ll go back to get it. If it’s been sold then it wasn’t meant to be. I have learned in this hobby is there’s always something better just around the bend! Those Trachy look awesome!

Then you put up a less blue and it looks night and day different, and good. You should be happy!Rabbitfish, 3 chromis, six-line Wrasse, bonded pair of yellow lined gobies, purple Firefish, yellow Watchman Goby and tiger pistol pair, Tailspot Blenny and I think that’s it. They’re all pretty small except for the YWG but, of corse, I never see him! I lost lots of fish to velvet a few months ago. Other than the Rabbitfish I’ve been afraid to add any others. I really don’t have another place to quarantine fish to let the tank sit empty. I have a new 32 biocube but I just set it up and it’s nowhere near ready for that many fish. We’ll see what happens I guess! If I missed it what kind of fish do you have in there besides the rabbit fish?
I do have a gyre 1k. I also have an Eheim that blows continually. I don’t have a controller so I use the controller that comes with the gyre to regulate it and I have it set up to do all kinds of things. The power head on the right is a teeny tiny thing I picked up at the LFS. I have a bunch of them. They’re great for mixing salt, etc and they only cost abt $25. I put it in because the combo of the gyre and Eheim made my long tentacle plate spin like in a tornado. The tiny pump breaks up that flow a bit so the plate now just waves in a breeze. Those combined with my return pump is probably about 6000 gph depending on what cycle the gyre is in (sometimes it goes backwards!). Too much maybe but for now it’s working. Btw...I used to have a 500 and we had TONS of flow as it was 8 feet long. I happen to think that if your corals are happy and growing then you’re probably ok. As for the photos.... they suck, I know. I have a really nice Canon DSLR and a tripod and I take decent pictures (we are birders so I’ve had practice!). But I’ve been too busy to mess with it.Looks good to me, nothing to be ashamed of. No one should be judging and I don't think many do here on this forum. Honestly my first response was going to be about the photos. Everyone struggles getting the proper picture due to our lighting. There are some that make it look easy but they have a lot of experience on their side or are just nerdy camera typesThen you put up a less blue and it looks night and day different, and good. You should be happy!
I do have a question - looked like a gyre on the back and two power heads on the side. Do you really need that much flow? It isn't so much a issue of flow to be other than obstruction once your tank starts to mature. I'm actually struggling with this now on my 210 gallon tank. I have a pair of Maxspect's and I don't like their looks in my tank. I may rearrange them but those are the sort of things that I wouldn't notice. So figured I would ask.
Looks fine to me though and judging by other posts it would seem others as well!
Thank you but I’m sure yours is pretty amazing! You’ve made me curious....now I’m gonna have to look!Your tank looks amazing!!
