I have had great results and never had problems with the AP700, but with any technology there are more things to go wrong.

Don't sweat it. Once they are set up you will be smiling constantly. Ecotech has great customer service.

The haters are just louder.
I love my radions and reeflink. Had connectivity issu at first but now all good. Seems like my apple router next to reeflink is no good.
Config is really easy. My 7yo daughter like to show off to hers friends (under supervision) and she can do live demo.

Your statement goes to show how crappy the device is. A device which adheres to the 802.11 standard should not have issues connecting to a certain type of router but not another. That is called poor design.

it's not a statement... did not said that was my issue or that was the resolution of my issue... that's what i assumed, but i have no clue i'm no expert for that... it could be because i restarted everything and it fixed the issue that i could not identify. took me 5 min and all works fine now.

True, but I dumped my Airport because everything was a pain to set up with it.

I really like the Radions, I sold the Radion Pro G2 and purchased the newest model which is fantastic, no heat , controllable, no problem with either SPS or LPS. The Reeflink was added, no connection problems since Ecotech changed the frequency. Tank is running of the Apex 2016 model while the Ecotech Radion, MP40s and battery backup are running off the Reeflink. The Reeflink is intended for wireless application, if you don't have wireless you need to use the USB cable. Make sure you have the right Ecotech account, if I remember right it was an account manager unless you're using the reef link, which is a different account.

Not ridiculous....I was assuming you knew to plug your computer into your router. Plug the Radion in using a USB from the light to the computer. The Reeflink is a wireless gateway that connects your light to your computer via your router. If your internet doesn't have a good connection or your router has a problem the hard wired version won't work for you either. Ecotech will answer your phone call. Yes, you can change your lighting while offline, once connected back to the internet the lights can be programmed.

I never said you could do it without internet. You just don't need reef link.

I am a poster child for ecotech and I do not have any of these problems with the light or the pumps. The reeflink works well with my home wifi and I very rarely lose connection. Now the Apex fusion on the other hand...
