I have had this same thing happen many times and for this reason particularly I will never again buy a anemonee from a frag swap only from a person that I know where I can be sure of what lighting flow and eating well. Last 2 I bought from frag swaps didn't do well meaning they died within a week. Looked good under all blue led which have little too no par. I was at that swap as well. Those nems looked good but were under no light really and those guys are constantly buying as much as they can and flipping it. Nothing wrong with that except certain things especially sps and needs do horrible in those conditions. I mean you didn't see any sps at all in there frag set ups did you.... There good guys for buying zooas softies and some lps but that's where I draw the line with them. Good luck. If that doesn't work out there's a few members in our local club that I'm sure could get you one.

the only things I have in the tank : anemone shrimp (he lives on the floor bed next to a different nem and does not go near this one), turbo snail (only works at night), tuxedo urchin (never hangs out on this rock), clownish that will not take a host, pajama fish, and a damsel...
I have checked the water again twice today.. once in the morning and again 30 min ago.. nothing has changed in three days. On saturday I will do another 10% water change on schedule.
The only thing I noticed of why is because of the lighting.. I am working on shielding it to see if it hates my T5's and would rather be under LED's (borrowing a friends set)

I know of a few in the area as well .. For the price and size, it was a great deal.... If I can figure out a good way to acclimate it to my lights, I think it would be fine.. right now I am just running the two blue lights in the T5 and it is liking it, but once the white get on, it looks bad.....

Unless you plan on switching to LEDs full time, I would just leave your T5s up, and screen them like I mentioned in post #15. I have T5s (( 6*54 )) over my 40 breeder and my E. quadricolor has been fine since day one (( did screen it )).

I'll be picking up screens today on my way home. I grabbed the LED's for a quick fix for now... so far it looked happy, but time will tell

Ok... so far so good, the nem is looking beautiful today.. What I did was added a third light to the tank.. I am not running two blue and one white T5HO. The white is inverted so only a little white light gets into the tank.. Seems the nem is loving this more then ever.. It is fully inflated and mouth is fully closed now.
I will slowly drop the light so every 4 days a little more will be added to the tank. Hopefully I will be able to remove one blue light and replace it with the white. Having two T5 fixtures over my tank takes up a lot of room!
