Good afternoon all
This stuff is starting to be more apparent in my tank its a clear snotty looking slime.. [emoji21][emoji21][emoji31][emoji31][emoji29]thanks in advance

How old is your tank? It's probably just some sort of bacteria. Manual removal during a water change is probably your best bet along with keeping your parameters within reason. Things like this will sometimes just go away in time.

Any wrasses in your tank? The second picture looks like mucous my sixline covers itself with at night.

I did a 5 gal change and I did with salt because my salinity was a little off when I got it tested the week before. I have a 28 gal nanocube btw

In the case of the wrasse they secrete the mucous themselves.

I would agree just keep an eye on it and keep up the water changes.

Do you dose anything?

No nothing at all.. That was actually my 1st water change

If it’s a bacterial slime , it’ll feel just like slime.
Some of the things that can cotribute to it are some bottled bacteria with carbon sources , like mb7. Some coral foods , like fuel and others with Aminos , air fresheners. Ammmonia sources , like something died. A pro biotic salt might also be a good question.

One thing to look at Esp because it’s a bio cube maybe with a hood , large bacterial populations eat up a lot of oxygen. So if youre not running a skimmer , get an air stone I there, and maybe leave the lid cracked open a bit for a few days.

Thanks salty no I removed the hood and replaced with kessil A160WE there was a satchel of air freshener from bed bath and body works maybe 5 feet away from my tank I. Just moved it away its pretty fresh too wife says [emoji19][emoji29] I'm getting ticked

Hopefully that’s what it was.

Fwiw, when I started , I was cleaning the front of the tank with windex. Had a blink blink blink moment and light bulb. (It’s ammoina)lol.
