I glued down my Anemone 180

My first stab at it. I feel I need to add some bulk somewhere. It I’m digging it so far!!

What do you think Bryan!?!?

I like it? But your tank is so deep and it would be a shame not to use that depth! This is a sort of tall and flat wall that you see in a lot of long, flat tanks. But having some big structures in the back and small ones in the front could really exagerate the depth of your tank and make it look bigger than it is. You can cut out some cardboard in the shape of your tank footprint to help visualize the rockscape better. Or even better, build it in the tank!

My thoughts exactly.

I have a box sitting behind my chairs to use. I may get some reef saver rock to add in. Gonna try again tonight and see where I get.

I have a 60 cube, and apron 30 days before I have to move my current tank over, so I’m trying to get as much done and in place so I can get the new tank wet ASAP. I am struggling wanting to incorporate my current aquas cape, but it’s covered with my coral. So I could only do that wet in the tank. I can remove most coral except the ones on my spa rock.

lots to consider.

Not sure about using my current scape, but this does lend itself to me creating this now, and my current scape fitting at the end. Later I can move coral and add more if I think it doesn’t look cohesive ( which I doubt it will) it will look like oh, you made two different things.

I could see it plunging back down dramatically at some point.

I do like this. I’m gonna live with it for a day or two.

had two extra arch pieces left when I was done. Great swimming / hiding spaces.

white section of cardboard is where current scape would fit.

around 22 in high at peak, and goes from front to back nicely.

That moment when you overnight ship the In take union for your vectra pump because as you were proudly bonding the second PVC ever in your life and you realize the screw on part for the union was supposed to go on that side. I did remember to put the blue one on... rookie mistake.

In other news we go our house!!!!

Everything is loving along. I think I have all the pieces I need. Tank is supposed to be ready / shipped end of next week to LFS.

here is some cabinet eye candy!!! Custom made. Sending it to the finishers tomorrow for a sprayed satin finish.

I got a sweet controller board built in there and a half shelf on the right side along with some fancy ventelation holes.

Also couldn’t resist and put together my platinum sump!!! It’s really nice. Sad I don’t have more pics rn.

@Dragon52 I also picked up a few cans of flex seal... unsure if it’s overkill after it’s been coated with poly eurathane, but I’ll probably hit it with a coat.

Mixing station is in the works!
