I have a 1200$ budget

What do you guys think of this tank? He wants 1,000$ total for everything. Doesn’t come with lights but I can get that in a couple weeks prior to adding coral

That isn’t a fair price...... I would say it is a a very very good price!

High quality tank...... the extras included are there. You will be amazed at the price of rocks and little stuff if you try to build, and like I said, that tank is a very nice quality tank

I would still offer less, to provide wiggle room for lights

Edit: Good quality pumps, ato, custom ato container, all very nice. The UV is NIB and is probably $200 alone

I would be camped out on his front porch for that price! I would also forget about the tang. If you have that tight of budget
you will not see that good of price very often. Start with this one and in two years transfer the hardware over to the larger tank, either way you will be upgrading Tank or hardware with whatever used system you find

Thats a good deal for that tank I'd say. I would probably buy it, but find a local fish store and trade in that eel. For lights, there are plenty of good budget lights out there, I like my reefbreeders, very good quality for the price.

Buy that tank it’s a great deal. Trade all the livestock to the lfs or local forums and fb group. Get a T5 or t5 hallide combo used for lighting ideally with a timer from a reputable brand. Should run you 200-300 with bulbs.

Question for those following along...... What is the concern with the eel? Reef safe? I may take that off his hands!

Also, just so you know:

Aquatic Technology
Aquatica Gallery
Triton

Those are the go-to’s in Cleveland area...... RMS is a good place to buy sick fish, but you can get lucky and get a “new arrival” but I just avoid that place because of the other better options.

Aquatica Gallery is my #1

I love aquatica and blue fish

Eels are pretty advanced fish plus you can’t have much else in an eel tank
