I have ick...REEF SAFE OPTIONS?!?

Will general cure help the fish until the formalin arrives.
General cure contains prazi and metro, which will help with infections, flukes, internal and external worms, but it won't do much for brook I don't believe

Hit up craigslist or fb marketplace to find a cheap tank. You wont need anything fancy. tank-heater-cheap light-plastic decorations-HOB filter big enough. You should be able to something used without spending a whole lot. Spend it now or spend it later is the end result.

This is what I read. What do you think? @Crabs McJones

To note: I want to use General Cure to help with and subdue the symptoms until my formalin arrives.

@ HotRocks is this stuff good to use for the fish treatment if brook?
If not I need it FAST so please provide a link to fish safe formalin that I can get with in two days thanks

Best of luck, sounds like you are getting some great advice here. Only addition I have is treat asap...every day is one more day you can ultimately lose a fish. Seams like a simple statement, but seems like these type things get worse fast. I have a tank full of rocks, etc - easiest way I found to get fish out is a fish trap. Best of luck!

Typically with brooklynella I see more of sloughing appearance, almost like the skin is peeling off. This looks more like amyloodinium (velvet) to me. Also someone recommended ozone. That will not eradicate parasites, just like UV, it is more of a way to manage the parasitic load in your tank.

GC contains metronidazole which will treat brook. The issue is metro needs to be dosed frequently in order to properly treat. Continuously dosing GC won’t work because the praziquantel concentration will get too high.

So GC could be used for the initial dose and then followed with just metro for 10 days total.

Likely brook since it’s a clownfish. Clownfish can be very hard to diagnose. Keep in mind brook can be very velvet like in the early stages.

Clownfish don’t usually show “white spots” from ich or velvet based on the fact they have a very thick mucus layer.
