I have nothing ( I'm introducing myself and my son)

Welcome aboard!!

You definitely sound like you are on the right track. I would add some fish to the tank once the ammonia cycle is complete so that you continue to have a food source for the bacteria.

As for feeding the corals, most corals use photosynthesis + use Alk & Calcium from the water, but you can also feed them a variety of coral foods depending on the type of coral. (Use a turkey baster to target feed them or just add to the water)

Thank you for the advice!

I found a 10k floresent lamp on amazon for a biocube 29 for $26.50. Should I get the 28
watt, 36 watt, or 64 watt. I only want some softies and maybe some LPS corals. I really want them to be maxed out on color. Oh and how do you feed corals?
Lighting is not my area. There are tons of people on here that have it down to a science. I'm low tech with feeding. I just feed the tank, and Target feed my hammer for fun. I have mostly soft corals. 2 lps. No SPS.

There are some BioCubes on this forum that will amaze you.

Where do you guys live? Maybe somebody would be willing to give a kid some frags.:)

Welcome to R2R!!!

Hi there! Welcome to R2R! Were you at this year's NY or Orlando Reefapalooza? Or just planning on coming next year?

I have both the Fluval EVO 13.5 and the 5 gallon tanks. They're both great set ups... all a matter of how much space you want to dedicate and type of fish (or not) you'd want. For small set up, lots of soft corals and some inverts would be a good choice too...especially if you have something that moves with the water

Hi everyone! Thank you for all your support! I decided on the new 32 gal led biocube. I will make a thread on me setting it up and cycling and etcetera...
:)

I was thinking about a biocube 29 but I found out that the lighting Is not vary good, can I possibly upgrade the lights when I get it?
Welcome! Steve's LEDs has upgrade kits for biocubes. I have one and it's great!
