I kid you not...

Wow after seeing and reading these post comments, it's a must try for me. Hey you never know it just may work for me to.

Pics never worked for me but isolation always does. I have heard of people putting an iPad (or tablet) with a video on a continuous loop working good.
Another good thing to do is move whatever they're hosting now. If it's moved or taken away they're more likely to seek out another host.

Yep....My clowns were hosting my mag-float, had to move that to another area of the tank.

On another note, I tried taping pics on my tank last night with no success. I will say though that my rbta wasnt cooperating. I should probably start another thread on why it insists on being upside down under my shelf and away from the light...makes no sense to me lol!

Is your clown new? Young even? They can act pretty funny for awhile when younger. My clown I've had for 2+ years started hosting my overflow box when first put in the tank.

Haha! They are both juveniles. One I got when I first set up this particular tank 7 months ago, they other is much younger and Ive only had about 3 months. they are both O. Clowns. They love their mag-float!

Update... Both clowns are still hanging out at the top corner of the tank. The only step closer to hosting either bta is the two of them possibly trying to host the images. Lol... I am going to keep the pictures up for a few days and just kind of hope that when I get home from work over the next few days there is a change. Will keep you posted. In my other tank one of my clowns has hosted different colonies of zoas. I gave up a long time ago on him going for the bta and had eventually moved that bta to the tank it is in currently hoping one of the two clowns would go for them so I would be super stoked if this desperate act of images works for me as it has for you. Hahaha

If the picture method doesn't work for anyone you could try the isolation method. I've used it successfully at least 3 times, every time I had a clown that wouldn't host or was hosting things I didn't want them to.
Place the clown in a acclimation box or heated bucket (leave it in there alone for an hour or 2), then your Bta. Imo the order of witch one goes first is important because I think allowing the clown to be alone for a bit makes it want to go for safty.
That's it... worked 100% of the time for me.

Here's a pic i added this pair 3 days ago check it out. I told them go to your nem and look at that they listened to me lol

Day 3 with pics up near the nem...no go. Hubby laughed at me when he saw what I did. Have had the clowns for a few years and the nem only for a couple weeks. The clowns like to sleep against the back wall so I can't exactly remove their current host...

Mine must be teenagers bc they aren't listening to what I want them to do! I played videos on loop and now I have pics taped to the side. I hope that who ever is playing this practical joke on us is having a good laugh!

LOL I literally have gotten a laugh out of some of your replies. I'm sorry it hasn't worked for a few of you, maybe give it some more time!

For reference I had a huge picture of two clowns in an anemone so it scared them a bit.

Keep us updated!

Nightly picture, still sleeping in its anemone! Maybe I just got lucky with my pair!

Ive had pics taped up for three days or so now with no luck. I still think part of my problem is that Pete (yes, I named my anemone) hides under my shelf and my clowns simply dont see him because they dont go under there. Ive even tried flipping the shelf to make him topside and he just walks back underneath. I guess patience is a must sometimes!

Guys....if you only have a few clowns and one or two BTA's and they're not being hosted, take your clowns and new and put them in small bucket together. If they don't get in the nem, stick your hand or a new in the water. They will go for cover and eventually find the new. Once they do, put them by each other in the tank. You can influence the bond.
