Conchs eat it, but the puffers would eat the conchs before they got the chance.

In the op's case, siphoning out and dosing one of the red slime removers will help.

Cyano usually likes low flow spots, and seems to do well when there are temperature swings.

Chemiclean and will be gone within a day of treatment or so ...if comes right back then you def have a nutrient issue but thats neverhappened here

Try to target feed your predator fish to help reduce the left over food which will help control your excess nutrients in the water.

If you use the Chmi Clean,, pre make yourself about 5 gallons of fresh salt water,, your skimmer will go nuts until its all removed from your system,,,, then increase your flow in the tank in that area,, your problem should be solved

I would like to keep cyno out permanently. In my tank this is not posible. I have used chemiclean,red slime remover and cyano clean. All work but Cyno always comes back in 3-5 days. Bare bottom tank. Cyno is in low and higher flow ares as well. PO4 can be .08 to .15ppm NO3 0ppm to 20ppm doesn't matter. I have a chiller set at 77*F. I have been managing it to a point for years. I use a turkey baster to keep it from taking over the tank. Really annoyed. I must be missing something. ????????????????????? :mad:
