Mollys can tolerate brackish water. If the salinity is to high that could be an issue also. Does the water clear with the power head off?

Well I beg to differ. Once or twice I added saltwater after a change. And my salinity was 1.031. Stayed like that for a day until I checked again and added water. My babies been in and out to .18 - .25 at max. They'll survive but it's just my water conditions that need help.

Here's the top portion. I will do a 30 percent water change and show you the results. Which will be the same. I might just do a 50 percent change.

I don't have testers I test it at my store. I am planning to get API MASTER REEF TESTERS SOON. I can tell you as much as I now tho. Thanks for your reply anyway.

Ok, so the fish store told you that some ammonia is safe, WRONG ! Even .001ppm ammonia can be deadly to fish and corals.

Ph is way low. 8.4 is optimal.

If you have zero nitrites, and nitrates, and your tank is 2 weeks old then in no way are you cycled.

That's wayyyy to many fish for a tank at 2 week's. Do tons of reading, ask lots of questions. To me it seems as if yet another lfs capitalized on a youngster with a hand ful of cash. I can't believe they sold you fish knowing you couldn't test your own water.

A test kit is hellaciously important, when your tank is this new you should be testing almost, if not daily.

How old is the tank? Possibly got an Ammonia Bloom going on there. Water changes and water testing will be your biggest help right now.

they never told me anything about the ammonia is safe even alittle bit. He came on to me with a sad face and a deep voice and told me. I understood. I know about fishes. This isn't my first first tank. My first saltwater fish tank I spender 2000$ on the first week. XC a 45 gallon breeder that I got from the fish store at 60$. Now I'm even surprised at how it would go to 2 grand but I checked the recieces when I grew up and I bought alot. I dont have money on me lol I'm poor as , my family doing alot but I can't keep on asking for to much like that
I had a ten gallon tank and they gave birth to 100+ fishes. They love the tank now. Now it's around 2 adult lyretail and 70 mollies fry. My tank is cycled I've had it for a while and transfer all of my water to my 30 gallon which was 100 % safe. 0 nitrates - ammonia. Till they started to die and they we're found under the rocks becoming the sand. Lol I took them under 24 hours for I wound always check. I even had my guppies breed and release in the same sw. But ever since I lost the last 4 ones to this problem. I know p.h is low and I'm asking on ways I can bring it up. Is baking soda safe for sw mollies.

Their my silver sailfin mollies that have red blotches I don't know what sickness is that

Looks bacterial may be from the water quality what is your ammonia and nitrate level

Not sure. Nitrates are at 0 and ammonia is a little I believe I have to find out tomorrow

The blotches are likely ammonia burn, this is also probably why their tails are tattered as well.

Best advice I can give is to sit back and do a little research. See if you can get your hands on some seachem prime to help with the ammonia. Remember only bad things happen fast in this hobby.
