I need help with something minor

Like others have mentioned, BRS has a great RO/DI setup if you go that route. (I've tried cheaper ones from Amazon, but had leaks from them). Regardless, place a mark or a piece of tape at the water line of your rear sump chamber to note where the water should be when it's filled properly and your salinity is where it should be. Then, every day, add a little more fresh/RO water to bring it back up to that line (salt doesn't evaporate, so don't add saltwater or your salinity will creep up). If you do that every day, your salinity will remain stable, your protein skimmer will skim properly since the water levels won't fluctuate, and you'll have a much easier time keeping everything else stable.

I don't have a protein skimmer yet. Any suggestions on those as well?

It really depends. You may not need one at all, depending on how frequent your water changes are/how much fish you have/how much you feed. If you do end up going with one, IM makes one for its nano tanks, the Nuvoskim, and then eShopps and IceCaps are also good brands, but no matter what you choose, you'll likely be frustrated for a bit (like the rest of us) when you set it up, as it will take a while for it to break in, get quiet, tweak it for optimum performance. If I were you, I'd just wait for a while before adding that to your arsenal. With frequent water changes and very light feeding, you may never need one need one at all :)

I really appreciate your response. I am very frustrated and stressed. I have a hang on the back filter and I do weekly water changes not alot just little to keep salinity down and nitrates. I'm down to zero nitrates but this all in one tank is so confusing. I have four fishes (two ocellaris clownfish and two yellow tailed damsels). Feed once a day turn off the pump and wavemaker. I'm afraid to move things too fast in the all in one and kill my fish when they are fine in the 10 gal. You know. Thank you.

I was looking at one rodi set I really wanted but every where says sold out so I'm patiently waiting for one to go one sale. I wanted something smaller like the aquatic life 100 4 in 1. I think the tape will help because I'm not 100 percent sure where the water level should be honestly?

For sure. With AIOs, the water line in that last chamber with your return pump is usually about an inch below the main tank's water line (can be a little lower, but not higher, otherwise your water won't flow through your rear sump very well). That's where you wanna mark it or put your piece of tape. Fill it to there, make sure your salinity is where you want it, and now you know exactly how much to refill with fresh to keep everything perfect.

I watch a video about that the tank will stay the same while the back goes up and down but they didn't explain where the level should be. I can see the hose exposed connect to the pump so I wasn't sure if that needed to be submerged or not.

There’s probably a bit of it that will be exposed. Doesn’t really matter how much, just keep the water level back there consistent.

I filled up my new 20 gallon peninsula all in one tank to cycle. In less than a day I noticed the water levels got lower in the back so I added more water and woke up this morning to it being as low in the picture. Is it supposed to be that low or should it be higher? I feel like the pump got louder too. I don't want to run the pump too hard. Please help!

If it makes you feel any better my 80 gallon chews through a gallon of water a day

I made an acrylic cover to go over mine and it reduced evaporation greatly
