I wish to understand marine keeping, not just practice correct 'husbandry.' I still don't understand the
processes which occur in a marine tank. For it is a very small 'essentially' closed system. The areas I am looking for more information into are things that really don't change. Bacteria, Fish, inverts, Nems, and Corals still thrive in certain parameters and still grow the same way in a tank and in the ocean - ideally that is. I am not looking for a 'how-to'

@rkpetersen that equipment certainly changes and there are fads, such as under-gravel filters. But as I so far I understand, please correct me if I am wrong, biological processes essentially don't change.
