I think I have aiptasia...

I used Aiptasia X and the population multiplied. The Berghia got eaten and the Peppermint shrimp just waited for me to feed the tank. A Matted File fish eliminated the population in a matter of weeks. I have two and have had no problems since nor have they bothered any corals but I don't have any zoas. That seems to be what I mostly hear people complain that they've eaten. If you just see a few, I'd try the super glue method before committing to any livestock. Good luck.

I tried Aiptasia-X, Berghia nudi's, and a filefish. The nudibranchs disappeared without doing anything. The filefish eats a few here and there. The Aiptasia-X caused a population explosion within a few months.

There's a new product called F-Aiptasia that I ordered from a new R2R sponsor, Frank's Tanks. I used it 3 weeks ago and it's incredible. It makes a shell type coating over the aiptasia and smothers them without allowing them to reproduce. I killed at least 200 aiptasia with one treatment. Reef safe but don't apply it directly to corals of course. This product appears to be a game-changer for anyone with uncontrollable aiptasia. It's cheap too, $13 treated 140 gallons of aiptasia-covered rock. I was desperate, so happy with my tank now!

I think the problem with nudi's is that they have to reproduce to be effective. Copepods in our tanks eat the nudi eggs, so if you have a large population of pods, you have a good chance of failing to build up an army of nudi's. I'm sure that's why my Berghia's never got a foothold in my tank. Expensive lesson too.

That's what I thought Thanks

The places that sell Berghia's recommend that you catch them and pass them around to other reefers. When they start to starve, you'll see them crawling on the glass in the daylight hours. I never saw mine again after I put them in the tank but they do work for some people.

Berghia Nudi’s have been fantastic!!! They are fun to watch as they eat up the aptasia
