It actually seems to be doing pretty well since I moved it to a higher flow area, a couple inches down, and turned down my lights, polyps opening a bit more and I think I'm seeing some growth.Your calcium and mag are high but not high enough to do damage and all is spot on in most cases. How are you testing phosphates. API phosphate sucks and is not accurate. Use a Hanna or the Red Sea for a better result. Lighting and flow can be the issue. Monti likes medium light 150-250 par and moderate flow I’m my tanks
Someone gave me a bottle of purple up. I use RO/DI water but our town is notorious for high calcium content in the water so out may be carryover. I get all my water from the lfs. I think they use instant ocean. What salt are you using for calcium and mag being that high or what are you dosing. How big of a tank?
Calcium is fine, mag is the most commmon test error.
Inbalnces are generally not a problem.
Rapid addition of mag could be.
Sounds like you may have solved the prob. Great to hear.
Finnicy lil thing aren't they.
