What is it with anemones? SPS lovers and torch collectors don't need to deal with their sub-forums filling up with the most brain-dead threads possible. I've got my notifications on for the anemone/clownfish subform because every two weeks or so somebody posts really nice videos/pictures of their anemones, but 90% of the threads are ridiculous. They're either "my clownfish won't host my anemone" or "my anemone is turning into a pool of black sludge, ignore the brand new Caribsea rock and sparkling white sand". BTAs aren't even that difficult, they just need stability. I bet it's the whole "Nemo" thing convincing people to get anemones and clownfish with no research. It's literally been 20 years and that movie is still affecting the hobby.

I actually thought this was real for a good 30 seconds, shows just how low my expectations for anemone care on this forum have gotten. Great post, 10/10.

I lack a sense of humor. And this post reminds me of all the bad advice NEW saltwater keepers get from petco, lfs employees and "bta's are bullet proof" comments they might find on google.

If the hacksaw doesn't work, I'm trying the blow torch next. It WILL COME OUT whether it wants to or not!
