It is time to upgrade my powerheads. I have 4 reefs in a row plumbed together. Currently I am moving water with 11 crappy Ebay cheap powerheads, and believe me, I have stray voltage and shorts going on.
I purchased 2-IceCap 2k gyres and 2-4k gyres along with 2 dual controllers. My thoughts are to put one gyre in each of the 4 reefs. Each of the barebottom 40 gallon breeders will get a 2k and each of the 60g displays will get a 4k. I watched the set up video and unless I missed it, they didnt talk about a program to make them go forward for a set time and then reverse for a set time. I would like to run them forward for about 4 hours and then reverse for 4 hours and repeat. Is this possible?
Cheers! Mark

So it maybe slightly different because im running the 2k off the Hydros WaveEngine but mine is set to sine wave on 1 minute cycle. It will cycle from 25% to 46% within that 1 minute then if I allow it to run in reverse it automatically switches to reverse and goes from -25% to -46% in 1 minute. The 2k is noisy in reverse so I don't run it in reverse. Hopefully that made sense and helps.

I must have missed it too because, it is possible but you have to watch multiple videos about setting triggers

So do I need a Hydros to get them to reverse? The reef is in the detached garage so noise isnt an issue.
Cheers! Mark

I believe it can be done in the app as well when you add the pump, on the WaveEngine it is at the very bottom.

Having the WaveEngine has been great! You could run all 4 pumps for the WaveEngine and not need the controllers or the power bricks. I would highly recommend it!! Also comes in handy if you lose WiFi connection you can still switch over to bluetooth on the WaveEngine an control all the pumps.

They have step by step instructional videos on YouTube. They may have more information on the Coralvue website too but not sure

I had a tough time when I first set mine up as well. Their support had to send me an update and then everything is running fine now. I would email support as well. They got back pretty fast.

Well with 9 tanks you have a problem. You may need help. (just kidding...that is awesome). I hated the 4k gyre for the first 3 weeks, but now they are 20% off and I will add a second one to my 250 to get rid of the other wave makers. It stunk at first, but now I must admit that I do like them and they work and they work really great.

The real bummer is that I have 9 tanks and was going to add 2 gyres to each which is 18 gyres. If the first one is a nightmare, imagine 18 of them.

did you ever get your issue resolved?
have u tried resetting to factory defaults

Nope! I have reset a couple times. I am over 8 hours into trying to get these going. I tried a couple times to update the software and while it says it updated, I get a pop up telling me that I am still running old software.
I have reconfigured my iphone a couple times 'cause their software is buggy, and I have entered my wifi into them probably 50 times. The 2 controllers are both displaying different different status LEDs, I got emails again last night telling me that they have been offline too long and when I try to adjust a speed setting the controller wont upload it just tells me the controller isnt responding. So frustrating!!!!! This was supposed to be a fun upgrade. I spent what I consider a lot of money on pumps, and to be honest they have been an exhausting headache.
