Talked to them at reefApalooza California the other day. They said that they were aiming for a release in December.

Awesome! Just in time for Christmas. Had a feeling that would be the case.

I am about a month away from finally setting up a reef after years away from marine tanks. The timing is just about perfect.

Well, just found out that you can pre-order one at Marine Depot for $120 ($102 for Black Friday). Gonna go ahead and get myself one.

No specs given, but it looks to be 8” long and maxes out at 2,000 gallons per hour.

I actually just stumbled on this a little bit ago accidentally and figured why not. im looking to replace a pair of rw-4s in my IM25 lagoon. hoping this will do the trick.
now if only there was a solid release date.

Just ordered ours. The 2k gyre and reef glue cost us 102 dollars with rewards points. Thanks @MarineDepot. This should work well with 3k gyre in the reef tank.

Canadians and I believe the UK have the Glamorca GP02 released now, same thing as the icecap 2k

if true that's raising some questions for me. as the glamorca is showing on Canadian retailers as having a max flow of 951gph as shown here. are we sure its the exact same? also shown with the old style control box instead of the new one.

as opposed to the 2000gph as mentioned in the original reefbreeders article, now I am starting to feel slightly nervous.

The first email we received said it was back ordered. Then today we got one saying it shipped. I will be calling tomorrow to find out.

Cool. My research shows it maxed at 2,000 GPH. The 3K was 3,000 GPH, so I would assume that descriptive naming convention follows. I will say that it was a little weird preordering without all of the data available, but it seemed obvious what the basics were.

I mentioned earlier it looked about 8 inches, but upon reflection of the image I saw next to the 3k, and some crude measuring, I now estimate about 9-9.5 inches. If you get yours let us know!
