ICH!!!!!!!! help!!

I hear ya I just wanna understand because it is my first time with saltwater I’ve had freshwater. Guess I’m going to have to set up a qt tank....

Yeah, saltwater ich is much more difficult to eradicate. There is all kinds of "miracle" cures out there but they really dont work at all.

As much of a pain as it may seem, a QT tank can be a fun thing and a way to make sure your fish are happy and healthy. Ich isnt that bad but I have seen entire tanks wiped out in a few days with velvet. The plop and prat method will eventually come back to bite you.

Sorry if I came off harsh, sometimes people just need y be shook a little.

I wanted to find an easy remedy too. There isn't one. You can check my story in my build thread if you want. Read this article (link below) and you will gain a lot of knowledge. Setup a QT and treat your fish. Even add a couple more pre treatment if you have room in the QT. Let the display tank run fallow for 72 days. (I went 78 because when your that far down the rabbit hole, why not?!)

I will say freshwater and marine ich is much different then you toss corals and inverts into the mix and it makes the issue much more difficult to deal with. Trust the other posters that are not lying. I have dealt with both kinds of ich. For sure run a QT and leave you tank fishless for 72 days. If it makes you feel better add a few more shrimp, corals or something in the DT while it is fishless to give you something to look at.

This is a good idea!

Just be sure to add the corals before you go fallow as ich is transferred on frags as well ;)

Thanks everyone going to convince the wife to setup a DT lol
