In my case, by the time I finished catching my fish, it looked like I had torn my tank down

2 Bellus angel yellow n purple tang 2 cleaner wrasse convict tang another wrasse don’t remember the name he’s kind of big for a wrasse 1 pj cardinal

I would get on Craigslist and find a used 55 gallon at a minimum and that still might be tight having two aggressive tangs with Angels in there.

All you need is a bare bottom tank, heater, HOB filter, ammonia badge, biospira.
Metroplex and NFG are typically used for secondary infections which are common with velvet.

I’ve never used it and I don’t believe it will be effective against velvet. Your fish need to go into copper ASAP and have the metro, etc on hand for possible secondary infections.
The most important thing right now is copper at 1.75ppm (copper power).

You'll need some type of biological filter.Do you have anthing already running on your tank you could use. External filter/Filter foam/ bio block? You can use your tank water to fill QT.Maybe a 40 breeder tank from Petco,if your tangs are small. And buy a 200gal box of salt for water changes.

Or split up your fish into 2 qt tanks?
Brute trash bins could be used too.

I suggested Craigslist because you can always find someone’s old FW setup cheap. And everything that comes with a FW tank is exactly what you need for QT.
