A couple quick questions

1. Was he quarantined?
2. How long have you had him?
3. Are any other fish sick?
4. Have you introduced any other fish, etc lately
5. Any other stress/changes in the tank?

I dont understand when you say - 'the spots are moving'. But - in any case - it LOOKs like cryptocaryon (Ich) - and should be placed in a hospital tank and treated with copper according to directions. Whether you want to do a fresh-water dip as well in case there is something else (like when you say 'the spots are moving' - it makes me wonder about flukes - but I have not seen them this way). in any case it looks like a significant infestation and I think requires urgent treatment.

1- he was not
2-about 3 weeks
3-I had other fish that died of ich but the triggerfish never had any issue while they were dieing
4- no I only had a wrasse when the triggerfish got added
5- not that I can think unless water changes can stress them out

In that case - I would move him to a hospital tank - with a copper medication - per directions - and measuring the copper levels daily to keep at the recommended level. Also - an ammonia alert badge - in the tank - doing water changes as needed. (In the water you add with a change - keep the same copper concentration in the tank).

lastly - Your other fish probably need to be treated too - and your tank left fallow for a period (that can be discussed later).

There are numerous protocols for CI - and I'm summarizing the major points. If you search the site you can choose one based on what products your LFS has.

Note - There are also other medications that can be used for CI - depending on what your local store has.

Make sure to provide plenty of aeration in the tank - you can also use a HOB filter -( with no carbon in the filter) for oxygenation and flow. Obviously a heater. Will see if others comment as to the possibility of flukes as well.

Do you see the white spots moving on him too?
Yes, I do. There may be multiple things going on. It might be worth a fw dip on the way and also Prazi if you think it has some kind of worm parasite.

How is the behavior of the trigger?

Yes - I was under the impression that he 'wasn't moving' - But - just to underscore - this is an 'emergency' situation. I think we all recommend 'jumping' on this quickly.

PS - unfortunately on my computer I cannot see the 'white things moving' - so rely on the judgement of the others.

PPS - some Wrasses do not tolerate all types of copper - and copper power has been recommended elsewhere. I would consider whats available and what your LFS recommends as well - the wrasse is not as big an emergency as trigger (I assume the wrasse is ok)

Kinda of looks like it . I recently battled ICH in my display tank by using Ruby Reef Kick-ICH Pro & Ruby Reef Rally Pro. While dosing I turned off my skimmer and my GFO/Carbon. I also purchased a 18W UV sterilizer. I ended up only losing my power blue even though all my fish ended up having ICH. Now my tank is solid. I also keep my UV running 24/7. My phos & nitr went up a lot so i dosed no pox by red sea and now all is good. Best of luck.

By the looks (and behavior) of this fish - I think copper is the way to go here. Just my opinion

Darn. That fish is covered. I would start copper in a QT ASAP.

Yes, I agree. Although I don't think it's quite as pressing as starting treatment on that trigger.

Hello I did do a fresh water dip before I went to work and I came home the triggerfish was swimming around but he looks like death fell over him
