I hope your not having to deal with ich friend.
I read Humblefish post, and talked to him alot on here. Sometimes they won't show all the symptoms. Velvet moves fast. Do you have a hospital tank and cupramine? Is the fish breathing fast? Better to treat them quickly to be on the safe side. The rest of the tangs body looks great, just his face looks spotty
if its ich, you have a couple options. ride it out (not recommended with a tang), go fallow for 8-10 weeks while you treat all the fish (if one has it they all have it), or if nothing else, you can feed heavily with foods soaked in something like garlic extreme. now garlic does absolutely nothing to ich itself. all it does is entice the fish to eat and give their immune system a slight boost. but above all, do not use anything with even trace amount of copper in your DT. ich isn't that big of a deal in most cases. but on a tang, it can be a horrible experience
If one fish has ich or velvet, they all do. Catch all the fish and treat them. And let your display tank run fallow for 72 days. Better safe than sorry.
That's always the advice Humblefish gives. Those parasites can only host fish, so they run out their life cycle in the tank if no fish are present for 72 days.
Here is some of Humblefish ' s post to help you. And powder blue tang is one of those most likely to get ich. @3FordFamily

tangs tend to show first, theyre very prone to ich. it may not be ich, but if it is, act quickly, but thoughtfully.
