Is this ich or just from playing in the birdsnest?

He seems fine.

I hope your not having to deal with ich friend.

Me either
My other tank i had a flame angel die and now my clown looks faded in color with a few spots... Gonna treat for velvet i think. He is acting normal but doesnt look as well physically.

The tang though not sure what to think about that.

The rest of the tangs body looks great, just his face looks spotty

I read Humblefish post, and talked to him alot on here. Sometimes they won't show all the symptoms. Velvet moves fast. Do you have a hospital tank and cupramine? Is the fish breathing fast? Better to treat them quickly to be on the safe side.

He always goes in and out like its his garage lol. Never seen him scratch though. I do have a hospital tank rdy to go. I was gonna treat the clown, but was wondering if you think i should add the tang to be safe

if its ich, you have a couple options. ride it out (not recommended with a tang), go fallow for 8-10 weeks while you treat all the fish (if one has it they all have it), or if nothing else, you can feed heavily with foods soaked in something like garlic extreme. now garlic does absolutely nothing to ich itself. all it does is entice the fish to eat and give their immune system a slight boost. but above all, do not use anything with even trace amount of copper in your DT. ich isn't that big of a deal in most cases. but on a tang, it can be a horrible experience

Thats why i am thinking that the tang may just be boogered up. None of the other fish are showing any sign of anything.

If one fish has ich or velvet, they all do. Catch all the fish and treat them. And let your display tank run fallow for 72 days. Better safe than sorry.
That's always the advice Humblefish gives. Those parasites can only host fish, so they run out their life cycle in the tank if no fish are present for 72 days.

Ya i agree. The clown was from my other tank where the flame angel died. The tang is in a different tank. I have 2 setups.

The clown was the only fish left from the potential ich tank. I just noticed the white spots on the tang from the other tank. Maybe i am paranoid lol

So i am thinking it a booger on my tangs face because my coral beauty has one now and he didnt a min ago. I think they were tussling in something.

tangs tend to show first, theyre very prone to ich. it may not be ich, but if it is, act quickly, but thoughtfully.

I will keep an eye on it for sure. I think my clown got me paranoid but better safe than sorry
