My fish are covered in ich I mean covered in it. All of them still have an appetite. I've been feed three times a day soaking frozen lrs food in selcon and Garlic extreme how luckily is it that fish that still eat will pull through from Ich?

Well, there is always a chance but it doesn't sound good. Any chance you can post a picture? Are you sure it is Ich and not Velvet?

Do you have another tank you can set up as a hospital tank to treat with copper?

#mods can we get this moved to the fish disease section?

From the sound of it....not likely. I'd recommend quarantining all in a cheap 40 breeder with meds. Is your system young and how many are afflicted?

Don't medicate the system if it is mature. Just leave it empty of all fish for 3 months while your fish live aside. If you're in an online club maybe someone local can help your fish tomorrow.

This sounds more like velvet, if the spots are too numerous to count easily it's almost always velvet. With that being the case, it's very unlikely anyone will pull through.

If ich, same thing. If it's progressed to that point you've "reached" critical mass. Each of those spots will create exponentially more in days. No fish can fight that bad of an infestation off.

I'd remove your fish and treat in coppersafe. Buy the seachem ammonia badge to watch ammonia, and do large water changes as necessary until it "cycles".

Don't use amquel or prime or any ammonia detoxifier in conjunction with medications, especially copper.

I'm positve it's ich. It just got really bad [emoji17] I wanna stay positive. I tried moving them but couldn't catch them and all I was doing was stressing them out more. I'll just th and keep them well fed and see what happens.

I've had an outbreak before and they got better but this outbreak is far worse. I just don't wanna lose them.

If you can't get them into a QT, I have a rather unorthodox treatment you can try. Use Focus to bind Metroplex to their food. You will want to do this for at least 14 days and preferably longer. No promises it will work, but it has a better chance to work than garlic.

Moved to disease forum. Good luck with the outbreak. There are a lot of experienced folks here to help so heed their advice when possible.

My lfs is getting me the frozen dr. Gs food. I have the caviar but I spoiled the fish with the frozen food they won't touch the caviar and that how I healed the fish before. So Thursday I'll have it and I hope it won't be to late. Can you explain to me how you do what you are talking about?

If you cannot catch the fish, remove rock and water and do it that way. I've broken down 180 gallon reef tanks to do this in the past. It isn't fun or easy but it's what you need to do to save the fish, or at least gives you by far the best chance.

You can take Seachem Focus and use it to bind Seachem Metroplex to frozen food by mixing them together. Metroplex is an antibiotic that also has some anti-parasitic properties. If your fish are eating, and you are either unable or unwilling to move them to a QT, this might help them make it through. Just follow the directions per the Seachem products and mixing them with LRS would be a great choice.

Could it be velvet? Any heavy breathing, swimming into flow, hiding, scratching, etc. Do you have any pictures?

I hate to ask but can you give me a step by step up on how to do this? I gotta order this stuff online probably won't be here till Tuesday and I hope it won't be to late

It only tells me directions to use the focus. I'm afraid that the food may get on corals? And kill them? I'd rather use the metro than the focus if I had to use any to mix with food.

My apologies I read it wrong. I'm gonna give this a shot I just really hope I don't kill my corals.
