Ick/velvet only at night?

So are we thinking another tank will be needed to treat all of the fish during the same timeframe since at least two of the fishes don't agree with the same medication?

How will copper-aid work? Is that a good copper medication?

If it's the product by Kordon, they suggest 5ml/4 gallons system water but do not indicate what concentration of chelated copper sulfate that brings the water to. I would suggest finding that out either on other threads or by asking them directly. Then you'll know how to did so you're slowly increasing the copper to something like 1.75 ppm.

For whatever reason, it seems that Paracanthurus tangs just don't tolerate CP well.

Seems like there is a lot of anecdote - (apparently from Bob. Fenner) - but not a lot of evidence. Most sites I've seen say its a myth - and there is no problem if you use the right copper at the right dose. Maybe its possible that since (it seems) that these fish are more likely to get ich - they are more susceptible to the ich - rather than the copper - I have no clue - just a thought. Some have thought it may cause HLLE - but not sure about that either.

I've found Kordon's "Safe Copper Aid" to be heavily diluted. It took several bottles to treat half of what one bottle claimed to treat.

If you have to use it, buy extra and test to monitor your level.
