I bought three pipe organs from WWC. They have been in my tank for a week and a half. I believe two of them have bubble algae, what can I do about it? I was thinking pull out brush with tooth brush, is there a better way to get rid of it?

I would just brush them off Rinse off before putting back into take. Good to go.

Those dont look like bubble algae to me. They look like air bubbles
Bubble algae is green typically.
See if you can dislodge one. If it floats to the surface its just air.
Us old people have to stick together. I thought the same thing in the first picture on the plug(those are air bubbles), but look again at the top of the tubes to the left of the open polyps. I didn't see first time I looked, had to do one of those double takes.

Nice catch! You nailed it. Strange place for bubble algae. Yea old I get it.
Nice 50cal by the way!

It looks like the tubes with the bubble algae are dead(no living polyp) you could carefully squirt some Joe's juice or Aplasia X on it. Both kill any kind of algae as well as any living coral tissue they land on, hence the word carefully.

no this is the first time I’ve seen it on these two frags. Nothing else I got from them seems to have it. Although my other pipe organ looks terrible, but I don’t see any bubble algae on it
I would think about fraging the frag and ditching the plug and rest. Making sure the rest is clean. Pipe organ has a calcium skeleton that can be cut to just a polyp or 2

this is what I ended up doing. After reading more it seemed like if the bubbles popped then what’s in it would spread onto other things and make more. I was nervous about removing it and then popping them and the stuff going into the tubes. So I just clipped off the tubes that had bubbles, inspected the rest and then popped it off the plug.

Keep an eye on it

My tangs eat bubble algae like it’s bubblegum I can add a rock covered in bubble algae and it will
Be picked clean in 40 minutes. Too many people are so afraid of algae. I feel in a healthy tang with grazers algae will never be a problem

Always better to prevent issues if possible

+3 on bubble algae and +2 on not poking or brushing but rather removing whole and carefully. If WWC sent you a pipe organ that looks like this - Shame on Them !!

What issue. Algae is food in my tank
Apparently wwc has bubble algae too.

my fish are all fat and lazy, I can’t trust them to do much of anything. They all know they’re just there to look pretty not actually work.

I was disappointed in these as well. I bought three and none look great. As I’m newer I tend to blame myself and my tank for issues before a supplier. I hope they can all bonce
