Yes they are Saddle Backs. And yes the Scientific name is also correct!

Why don't you think they're Amphiprion sebae? The middle stripe goes all the way down on these guys...true saddlebacks have a "saddle" stripe...correct?

there are 2 types of saddlebacks
even though they dont look the same they still have the same scientific name, which is odd
the black saddlebacks have full bars
black saddlebacks are also sometimes called black percula, and before you say anything yes i and everyone else knows these are not perculas
BUT that is a common name
the black saddlebacks are also one of the harder clownfish to breed

clowns 101,

just looked a little more on google and there are similar looking guys that are listed as Sabae Clownfish... is there a big difference in behavior between Sabae and Saddleback? I don't have an anenome yet, and anenome compatibility may be different between the species.

Both types from same vendor:

-Amphiprion sebae "Black Sebae Clownfish" | Clowns | Saltwater Fish | Aquarium Livestock - ThatPetPlace.com
-http://www.thatpetplace.com/pet/group/3399/product.web

-AquaGuide.net - Amphiprion Sebae

... but I believe a majority of Sabae's include a yellow tail as well and/or yellow belly.

I go by the tail color on everything but the brown version of the saddle back which has the more distinct "saddle" that you mentioned earlier. That Pet place that you cited above is mislabeling the Sebae as both of those pictures are what I think of as a black saddle back.

Here are some comparison shots:

The above photos show why I think Saddle Back. And not really a diffirence between the addictude of the fish.

I have a male ocellaris that is way meaner then the female. He bites my hand every time I put it in the tank and not just the top of my hand he goes for in between my fingers then bites a pulls.

Ok, as per the other thread, I wanted to get a verification that this is a Onyx percula. Thanks in advance.
