It's not actually in my display. I have a brute full of LR from a larger tank I used to have and I took some from it and put it in a 10 gallon in the garage and fed some ammonia couple of months ago. About one month ago I put a light on it and it burst with life, pods, algae etc. And to my surprise these aptasias started poping up. I've never had aptasia make it past my QT and into the display. But I did collect some macro algae from the ocean and put it in a bucket with flow and a clip light and a piece of rock from the brute. The algae ended up dying so I put the rock back in the brute. That must have been the source because the rocks had been in the brute in complete darkness for over 6 months prior. I think it it was just the next week or so that I put the rocks into that 10 gallon. Hm, I might just start feeding them and let them take over the 10 gallon. Could try breeding nudis or might be handy to QT a CBB lol. Nah I should prolly just take the light away and let them starve I guess.

That stuff is like zombie and you rele need to root it light idea is great but I would do alot of darkness if your gonna go that route like no joke 2 months before it enters your display tank

+1 on aptasia
Syringe with either lemon juice or Kalk powder mixed into a paste and injected into core of aptasia for destruction of the aptasia

If it’s the orange thing, I don’t see how that can be aiptasia. I’ve never seen orange aiptasia before and in baby aiptasia, the tentacles grow long first. The tentacles aren’t wavy enough.

I had the same thoughts, it doesn't look like the aptasia I'm used to seeing. But similar, You think it's some type of pest anemone?

I'll try to get a better shot of it tomorrow, I'll put the extension tubes on the camera this time.

It definitely looks like an anemone. No idea what kind though.

Squirt lemon juice on aptasia to kill it? If that work is doing it cause I have a ton. Is lemon juice ok for my display with corals and fish?

I’ve used lemon juice. It does kill them but then they pop up all over your tank. Best way is to get something that eats them. Peppermint shrimp or filefish
