If it’s a pest, I strongly recommend that you check this out:It definitely looks like an anemone. No idea what kind though.

Frank, I’m still trying to get your product! Trying to see if someone else can piggyback on an order. If it’s a pest, I strongly recommend that you check this out:
I’ve used lemon juice. It does kill them but then they pop up all over your tank. Best way is to get something that eats them. Peppermint shrimp or filefish
It's not actually in my display. I have a brute full of LR from a larger tank I used to have and I took some from it and put it in a 10 gallon in the garage and fed some ammonia couple of months ago. About one month ago I put a light on it and it burst with life, pods, algae etc. And to my surprise these aptasias started poping up. I've never had aptasia make it past my QT and into the display. But I did collect some macro algae from the ocean and put it in a bucket with flow and a clip light and a piece of rock from the brute. The algae ended up dying so I put the rock back in the brute. That must have been the source because the rocks had been in the brute in complete darkness for over 6 months prior. I think it it was just the next week or so that I put the rocks into that 10 gallon. Hm, I might just start feeding them and let them take over the 10 gallon. Could try breeding nudis or might be handy to QT a CBB lol. Nah I should prolly just take the light away and let them starve I guess.
Safe yes and has been 100% effective . Squirt INTO their core, not on the aptasiaSquirt lemon juice on aptasia to kill it? If that work is doing it cause I have a ton. Is lemon juice ok for my display with corals and fish?
When I started the tank this rock came from it was all dry rock, a mix of pukani from BRS and an assortment of different stuff from a guy on Craigslist I treated all the rock with muriatic acid and then bleach. The macro came from the pacific, I'm in LA. That's where it had to have come from. For now I'm letting it grow, I'll post some photos when it grows more.I agree it doesn't look like aiptasia. Where is that live rock from? What ocean did you get the macro from?
The only orange thing I can think of is orange cup coral. Not sure it looks like that though. Since it's in a 10 gallon in the garage I would just let it grow and see what it is. I'm weird like that.
