BTW last night I was able to see one white striped worm (the stripes was per 2-3mm) the worm was long when extend it self from one hole about 1.5 inch and it come with new LR peace which I got at Saturday from my LFS.
The strange there was when I saw it was "unbelievable", because I immediately remember about your post here, it was looking almost like your one on the photo, the stripes was blackish/bluish after I turn on the bright lights (after I grab it -> later). When I saw it )it was just a few minutes after I turn off the lights), it took me over 20-25 minutes stay like frozen with tweezers in one hand close to him in the other hand red light "chasing" the worm..... Patience .. I said to my self (like always), it was trying to catch amphipods running around... (so it's not detritus feeder, looking for something meaty...).
After while I grab the worm with the tweezers and start to try pull it out of the hole..., but unfortunately it was like glued there in. The peace of LR was on bare bottom and trying to take it out, I was moving and the LR peace, which was over 300 grams wight like it's in the water (outside it was almost 500 grams), was unbelievable for me, because never till yet I catch something that strong and thick..., it took me over 15 minutes trying to pull it out, some times with movements like a spring to make it lose his resistance from the hole and to tire it. It start to pi** me off..., and I was tired too..., I start to pull it out and in one moment I take out the LR from the bottom hanging down almost to take out the peace of LR out of the water.... The stupid worm was that strong ...
Unfortunately probably I catch the worm 4-5mm behind his mouth it start to slide out of the tweezers because of the weight of the LR, and probably I start to leave the pressure on the tweezers.., when it come almost to the end of his "head" like, it extract his proboscis/mouth and I drop the peace LR hanging peace of him which was the mouth/proboscis.... The LR fell off at the bottom (thanks god it was in the plastic tank, otherwise the end was water everywhere on the floor and broken tank bottom
;Sour...The rest which was already out of the hole 1.5inch was like dead...., and when I grab it again..., put a bit more pressure on it and it cut it self off. The skin peace was that long extended so I was unable to make any proper photo to can show it to you (the worm at the beginning was about 2mm thick, at the end the peace of it was 0.5mm ..
I hope that worm, the rest of it.... isn't going to resurrect it self, because it can scare me what can it eat... (the star polyps which was around him almost gone..., I bet that the worm eat them ;Meh....
