Ive been Talking to Bill over there for about a year now here on R2R, and he's an Old school dude. Like no kidding MH, big light reef veteran guy. So for ME, MY choice will probably be one of those.
I couldnt find a deal on a Photon($$$) But was looking for that over My SB. The SB was least expensive.($$)
I recommend the AP700 OFTEN, but I don't want one and don't like kessil at at all really. It is still an amazing light.
I only know spec on Radions.($$$$$) NOTHING about them peaked my interest. I do like more leds (big coverage over the tank) rather than pucks.
I currently have the 1 SB (30g) and 3 AI sols(55g).
The SB does have "something". All SB cultists will tell you. So if I cant afford Bill when its time to upgrade the 55, Ill do 2 16in SB's on it.
30 back to front? or the 24?
Look at the size of the fixtures physically first. The bigger one with more diodes will cover better without losing power out of the box.

Were money no issue I would want a dense matrix array the size of my tank's footprint that would allow me to adjust the color and intensity everywhere over my tank.
Doable with diy but oh my would it be expensive.

If money wasn't an issue. Sorry to say but my tank hit maximum density a long time ago. I haven't added anything new for over 2 years. But I wouldn't mind a new skeet thrower with a wobble attachment

Orphek Atlantik's if money is not an issue. If you do go LED let me know. I got a simple easy trick to solve disco ball effect that most led lights have and it will help prevent the corals from shading themselves as they grow.
One Kessil could very well cover a 48" tank.
If I had to do it again, I would chose the same thing on my 72" tank. 2 Kessil AP700 not doubt, the color is amazing and the spread is idea much more so that the G4 Radion.

Not having luck finding any stats on the light you mentioned. Can you post some details?
It's pretty much a myth that hard corals require more light, so I'd feel free to get started if you like the light you have.
Clams could require quite a bit more light....and there are some corals that will be colored differently in higher vs lower light. Tyree's Ponape Bird's Nest is a good example of this.
I run two 36" tanks on my system. Both are predominantly stony coral and the system is going on ten years. One tank gets about 14,000 lux (which is pretty low) and the other tank gets about 50,000 lux. I have never had a problem with stony corals in either tank.
I'd pick the AP700 if you upgrade anyway.
Lots of other great options out there too if you look at the suggestions so far.Even cheap DIY like my low-light tank....super easy to build. No fancy features though.
I'm not disagreeing with you that corals need more light. I think theres a lot of evidence out there that corals can do fine in low light. But, how much is enough?

14,000 lux that I mentioned is about 200 PAR. That's at the surface of a 19" tank and I have stony corals on the sand.
You have to break out the google image search and start looking for examples of a particular coral to see how it looks in different situations.
Not easy since most folks don't mention lux or PAR readinds, nor their chemistry, nor their feeding routine. If you're lucky, you can see their flow solution in the pics of the coral. All these things matter to "enough".
Some entries from the Light section of my blog that relate:

Thanks for the citations. Don't want to hijack the thread, but I would like to see how your system looks. Again, I don't disagree with you.
Could the reason be that Royal Exclusiv USA and GHL USA share the same building? JK!
Outside of that when Sanjay tested the GHL 6200 lights, I felt that the GHL seemed to best replicate MH lights. If price were no object, I would have a hard time picking any other LED light over them. But then again, I light to blast corals with a lot of light. I agree with @mcarroll (my brother from another mother) that corals may not need so much light, but all I care about is getting the absolute best color out of them so I'm pumping up the watts! The GHL definitely has the wattage as well as the coverage.

I'm with @mcarroll, I shot for the led spread over mega par.
If I had to pull the trigger today on new led's, that I've never used. It would have to be the GHL Mitra 7's.
I'm sure he gets a discount but he doesn't get the products for free. Despite the fact that we don't always agree when it comes to reefing, he is a stand-up guy and I like him.Lol,
