If you could change one thing in your system...

So as the title states, if you have a freebie to change/add one thing in your system, be it a lighting overhaul, skimmer, calcium reactor, new ATO setup, what would you do.

In my 29 gallon BioCube, if I could change one thing, it would be adding a sump. I'd really want to add a sump so I could move my skimmer, top off floats, and just more water volume to my tank. It would also clean up the top of the tank which the wife would love, and would make the room a bit quieter too (currently a HOB skimmer).

Most likely not going with a half round/moon tank. It makes it difficult to get generate flow patterns and getting to the corners to clean the sand from items settling. Dont get me wrong, I do love my tank, just a square or rectangle may have been easier.

I would add another Hydra LED light for more spread and less shaded spots.
I would also like to add a controller like an Apex.
I'd also like to add a doser.

Let's face it - our tanks are never "finished" lol

Add flow, though I just did that today. MP-40's just couldn't get into the corners of my 150DD, but the pair of Tunze 6255's I just plugged in have stirred up more funk than I'd like to confess to having. I'm curious to see how this impacts my corals, and I really think they just weren't getting enough flow.

A dedicated fish room. It’s amazing the amount of space that all the equipment takes up and it would provide so much more flexibility when making changes to the system.

Went with T5 instead of Hydras because I can’t resist the temptation to play with dang sliders on the LEDs. Guessing my corals would pick that change also.

I wish I would have purchased a higher quality tank with thicker glass and more quality constructed. I have not had any issues with my Marineland 53 but i’m always worried that the panels that are not exactly lined up perfectly will end up in a flood of my house

A more open aquascape. I wish I would have done it that way to start.

I’m planning on doing it soon. My corals are getting so big and intertwined now that it is going to be a real challenge. That’s the reason I set up a 6 foot x 2 foot frag tank, to house corals while I do the re-scape.

I would have front access to the main panels. Currently have a large system with only rear access to clean glass which makes it difficult as corals grow.

I always recommend that to my clients when they build tanks into the wall and they NEVER do it.
