This is pretty simple, if you had $1,000 what type of equipment would you get with that?

I'm between a Neptune setup (apex, power bar, trident) or a Mastertronic. (cover the extra costs as these are over $1k)

I've come to realize that having backups for some things such as pumps is pretty important and often overlooked. Be prepared spend that money on backup equipment or an emergency generator of some type.

It almost seams like $1000 for this hobby won’t get you much these days ..,.

I’m maxed out for fish ,
I could purchase a few cheaper frags .
or just use it towards maintenance ( salt , di resin etc )

I would be all over a light! I'm pretty much set with everything else but I need a good light so I can start adding corals. Of course whatever was left over would go to fish or coral

wow, i’d definitely start with a controller(hydros, or trident), probably an upgraded return pump(DC). if there is anything left over id probably buy a gyre or two (maxspect)
