This is not a comparison of reefers. The poll is just the easiest way to do it! I, and others, would love to see what we all as reefers need and want in our tanks. I think it is a great way to learn and grow in the hobby!

I guess my point was, I've spent tens of thousands probably by now But what I would suggest to someone starting out for 600 would be completely different than what I would spend it on right now. Not to mention it would change drastically depending on goals. But good luck finding your answer I guess.

I'm just putting the finishing touches on my downsize from 4 tanks (265g total) to a single 50g cube. I have all the equipment I need and more coral than I may be able to fit in the tank (see my tank build thread). I'd probably spend the $600 on a new set of sticky race tires for my Toyota to auto-x on! ;Stig

Since the tank I want is much more than $600, I would put this money towards a new tank/stand, but it would definitely not cover it.

I would get a controller (Apex), while I still want new lights I want to grow sps dominant tank and the controller would allow me to keep an eye on things a lot closer.
