If you were setting up a new system, knowing what you've learned from your "now" system, what would you do differently?
Currently have a Red Sea reefer, while it’s a nice tank, it’s just to small. I should’ve stuck to the go big or go home method. My next tank will be a 400-500 gallon 8 ft box of water. I will also spend the money on quality equipment (lights , power heads etc)
What's absolutely indispensable - indeed, what would you have doubled up on?
Calcium reactor! Set it and forget it! Doses calcium and alk in equal parts, so only need to test alk.
What would you have left out entirely, or what's just not that important?
Nothing, my current set up is pretty perfect. Do I need all the fancy gadgets, no. Do they make life easier? Definitely.
What would make your reefing life easier, if you could re-design it from scratch?
Better sump, bigger stand compartment. Proper QT set up
How would you sump it? Plumb it? Light it? Stock it? Feed it?
2x mp60, 2x mp40, 1x vectra m1, 12x radion xr15 pros. 60x20x18 sump.
