Hello everyone!
My name is Christian and I'm new to R2R! I currently have 1 80g mixed reef 10 months running(11 months this November). I know you guys will be able to help me on this one, but recently my water parameters have been getting a little crazy. For the time the tank was running I never really dosed any Alk/Calc/Mag, just starting dosing Alk because it dropped to 5.9. Do to my laziness of not testing. Recently purchased Hanna checkers and it made testing more fun for me. Current parameters

10-26-16
C=587
A= 6.7dkh
M= 1300ppm
S=1.026
••••••••
10-30-16
C=600ppm
A=6.6dkh
M=1080ppm
S=1.026

As you can see magnesium and alkalinity dropping while calcium is sky rocketing! Please let me know what I should do! Dose more Alk and possibly magnesium? I know that magnesium keeps Alk and Calc balanced but let me know what you guys think

Thank you all for reading and helping!

Also I know my lighting is weird right now, currently saving to get two more AI Hydra hds, currently have 1 hydra hd and 1 prime hd, it's a long story why I have this lighting so I won't get into that unless you really want to know [emoji23]

Welcome home, you will love it here!

Great looking setup!

Sorry I'm useless with water chemistry questions

I just joined myself, but welcome.
Just curious if you mix your own salt or use a premix or scripts.
I would be careful doing too large a water change, especially if using a salt like rscp which has higher ca, alk and trace elements compared to say rs blue bucket. Raising your alk to fast can cause Drama....lol if you have corals. I would do several small 5-10g wc's over the next few weeks and test test test.
