I'm burning through DI resin

Thanks for the feedback. No. I am not certain of the TDS reading. I ran my tapwater directly through my TDS meter without going through any filter ration first and that’s the number it gave me. Not sure how accurate that is. However as I mentioned above, I was able to run a discus tank for 10 years with water straight from my tap so I am fairly comfortable that my source water is pretty good.

I can’t keep mine setup so it’s mobile. I have the RO unit separate from the 2 DI canisters.
I'm jealous of your set up. I wish I had a place in my house to do something similar. No way my wife would have it in our laundry room. I could do it in our garage but the problem with that is the winter temps can get pretty cold.

I don’t have a convenient place to set one up either so I mounted everything to a small hand truck that I can just stick in a closet when not in use.. I’ll wheel it outside or into the kitchen to make water.

Dmsick, I would definitely get your tap water tested, even if only for TDS. At least then you'll be certain of what you're starting with. Your LFS should be able to do this for you, and I'm sure they wouldn't charge anything for this.
If your tap water's TDS really is low, then your DI resin should be lasting a really long time. Otherwise, something in your RO/DI system has failed or something is out of place, as others have suggested.

I'll check into that. I only have Petsmart and Petco and the fish section in each place is fresh only and pretty lame. I feel like even if they have some way to check the water, there may not be anyone there who can actually do it. I still haven't pH tested it to confirm what others and I suspect which is that the pH is pretty low.
