Im done with ecotech who makes a reliable led?

I have the Kessil 160we for 4 years now and is about 4.5" from the top of water and is running flawlessly.

I like my 360x’s on my 90 but kessils customer support has not been overly helpful to me in the past. I still have one 360we that I can’t mount on my 40b because they don’t respond to my emails about a replacement screw for the gooseneck. Frustrating for sure.

I don't have them personally, but ReeFi LED someone linked above me is getting a lot of praise and is in the same price range (actually cheaper) than a Radion.

I have these lights. Don't know if they would fare any better in an environment that is killing Radions due to moisture, but they do have a 3 year warranty, and the owner of the company is very responsive and engaged. He should be able to answer to the moisture sealing on the product.

That said, I replaced my Radion XR15 Gen 4 pros in a hybrid LED/T5 with 2 of these Reefi lights only, and I'm seeing better color and growth from all my coral. Very high quality LED.

I recommend Reef Breeders Photons V2+ as well. EcoTech bought AI as well. I love my AI PrimeHD though.

ReeFis and Radions don’t use the same colors. Reefis use amber and lime in place of red and green. They also have more leds than Radions.

If you want the kessil, go check out a tank with them first. They shimmer a lot more than normal leds. The disco ball effect makes some people sick.

LOL. Amber and lime? Lol have you seen radions in person? They’re the same colors. More led’s doesn’t effect growth and color.

Interesting 'New' LED Light

I just received two ReeFi LED lights for testing purposes. This company has been around for a while, but it is new to me, and I'm impressed with the thoughtful design. There are 72 LEDs in the array including cool white, warm white, amber, lime, blue, royal blue, violet, 420nm and 400nm, each on...

ReeFis and Radions don’t use the same colors. Reefis use amber and lime in place of red and green. They also have more leds than Radions.

@danlu_gt is a very active R2R member, easily accessible, willing to answer any questions and a nice guy. Additionally, he's also the developer and owner of ReeFi.

This is the second time I have lost a radion to moisture. Sure it's a good light but ecotech fails to do anything about making their light moisture resistant. I have my lights 8 inches off the water in a canopy and after the first failure I added glass tops. 2 years is still all I get before the moisture renders it useless. Ecotech only solution is to repair for $275 or replace for over $400. It doesn't seem to matter your issue, no matter how many thousands you spent on their products, this is their only solution. Instead of me lining their pockets again I'm considering a switch. Is there any lights that are durable and moisture resistant. So far everything is pointing to kessels. Any information or input will be appreciated.

I have only tried maxspect and AI, I like the AI hybrid system. So far no problems although they do have a little too many settings for me.

That’s like saying blue and royal blue are the same led.
Having had both, I can tell you the color is different.

Btw, only Philips makes the lime LED. Cree makes the greens.

So you are saying that the actual LED spectrum doesn’t matter for growth and color? Just the brand led? I’m afraid I have to strongly disagree with that idea.
