Im done

hum I would run GFO and Carbon and wait and keep and eye on phosphate and nitrate get phosphate .05 ppm nitrate 10ppm or even better 1ppm. the first year is the hardest it gets easier with time and water changes. I would just tough it out it will get better with time.

143.2 is calcium. I use reef crystals. My kit doesn't test for mag. I have a big Janie power head. I have a sump system with dual socks and a bubble Magnus protein skimmer.
If that's really calcium you got a problem. Calcium should be into the 400s. (But you said calcium was 360 in your post? I'm confused ) You need to check alkalinity and magnesium. I dont see anything in that picture as far as algae. I see where your sand has blown back and the glass is exposed.

No . I'm so sorry that was a typo. Calcium is a little low at 360. Kh is 143.2. I'm gonna do another h20 change today, clean the rock and try the h202. Thank you so much for your help. I've been taking advise from local pet store and see now that was a mistake I won't repeat. Hopefully I'll get it to a tolerable level.

Is there some reason you didn’t post a FTS so we can see your rocks and get a better idea on what type of algae is growing? The photos you posted don’t really show a problem to me??

Hi Nitrates would do it.
Main question- IS THIS TANK AT OR NEAR A WINDOW? If so, that would definitely be your culprit.
Additionally , tap water and/or overfeeding would be contributors

Yes, my camera will not take a clear image if the tank. Lighs on, distorted, lights off unclear.

Looks like gha from what I can see. Po4 is pretty high. I would recommend growing some chaeto, like @crabcore said, but that will probably be overran too if the gha made it to your sump
