Yep. The tank has been neglected for a while so there could be MULTIPLE species of plant life.

3 fish and few coral? Get a 10-20 gallon tank from petco and 8-20 LBS of cycled live rock, and rip that tank apart. Just clean it all out and start over. THAT is what I would do.

But in all seriousness think about the amount of resources you'll use to try and combat this... and maybe then it still won't work. If this was a stocked tank, it would be different. Maybe the towhead can help you and make it fun for a day or two?

Exactly. Saving what is there could take months. Or starting over could take a week.

Dinos are my leaning as well as there are always air bubbles mixed in.
